Overview

Narog d.o.o. (operating as "Narog Games") develops and publishes video games. Some of our games collect pseudonymous gameplay data to help us improve game balance and player experience. You can opt out of data collection at any time in the game's Settings menu.

This policy applies to all games published by Narog d.o.o. (operating as "Narog Games").

What We Collect

Device Identifier

We generate a pseudonymous identifier using a one-way hashing method applied to limited, non-identifying device data (such as general system attributes like operating system). This identifier does not directly identify you and is not used to fingerprint or track your device across different applications or services.

While it cannot be used by us to determine your real identity, it may still be considered personal data under applicable law. It is used solely to distinguish returning players for aggregate gameplay statistics.

System Information

When you launch the game, we collect:

• Operating system (e.g., "Windows 11")
• Country and language derived from your system locale settings (e.g., "US", "en")
• Game version

We do not store or retain IP addresses in our analytics systems. Any IP address transmitted as part of normal network communication is not logged, stored, or linked to gameplay data.

Gameplay Data

During gameplay, we collect statistics about your in-game activity, including:

• Session counts and durations
• In-game currency earned and spent
• Upgrades purchased and progression milestones reached
• Abilities unlocked and used
• Items found
• Which game screen you were on when closing the game

This data is tied only to your pseudonymous device identifier — not to your name, account, or any other personal information.

What We Do NOT Collect

How We Use the Data

We use collected data exclusively to:

• Understand how far players progress and where they stop playing
• Balance in-game economy (currency income, upgrade costs, progression pacing)
• Identify which features players enjoy and which they ignore
• Improve the overall game experience in future updates

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising, cross-contextual behavioral profiling, or any purpose other than those listed above.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For players in the European Economic Area, we process pseudonymous data based on our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in improving our games. We have assessed that this interest does not override your rights, given that:

• The data is pseudonymous and cannot directly identify you
• You can opt out at any time with immediate effect
• You can request deletion of all your data at any time
• Data is automatically deleted after 90 days

Opting out constitutes an objection to processing under GDPR Article 21. Deletion requests are processed under GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority. For players in Croatia, the relevant authority is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) at azop.hr.

Data Storage, Retention & Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Service Providers

We use DigitalOcean as our cloud infrastructure provider to host our analytics servers. DigitalOcean acts as a data processor under GDPR and is bound by a data processing agreement. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Your Rights & Choices

Opt Out

You can disable data collection at any time in the game's Settings menu. When you opt out:

• No further data is collected or sent
• Any unsent data queued on your device is discarded immediately
• Previously collected data remains on our servers until the 90-day retention period expires, or until you request deletion

Delete My Data

You can request immediate deletion of all your collected data using the "Delete My Data" button in the game's Settings menu. When you use this:

• All data associated with your pseudonymous identifier is deleted from our servers
• All locally stored analytics data is removed from your device
• Analytics is automatically disabled

Additional Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have the right to:

• Access — request information about what data we have collected
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a portable format

Due to the pseudonymous nature of the data, we may not be able to associate data with a specific individual unless you provide additional information that allows us to identify your data.

Opt Back In

You can re-enable data collection at any time in Settings.

Children's Privacy

While we do not intentionally collect personal data, we do collect pseudonymous gameplay data as described above. We do not knowingly collect such data from children below the age required by applicable law (such as 13 in the United States or 16 in the European Economic Area).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's data has been collected, please contact us at info@naroggames.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify players through game update notes on our store pages (Steam, Itch.io, or other platforms where the game is published).
